Privacy Policy

This policy explains what CoinParty collects, why, and what control you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

1. Who we are

CoinParty ("we", "us") operates the voice-room and party-games service at coinparty.io. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@coinparty.io.

2. What we collect

Email address, username, password (hashed)	To create and secure your account, and to send password resets.
Profile picture, display name, bio, country	Shown on your public profile — you choose these.
IP address	Security, fraud and multi-account detection, and abuse investigations.
Browser, operating system, device type, language	Compatibility, debugging, and fraud review.
Approximate country (derived from IP)	Regional features and fraud checks. This is city/country level — we do not collect GPS-precise location.
Game activity: bets, wins, losses, coin balance, purchases	To run the games, keep your balance correct, and calculate VIP status.
Chat messages and voice-room activity	To deliver the service and to moderate abuse.
Cookies / session identifier	To keep you logged in. See section 6.

We do not collect GPS location. Any location shown to our moderators is derived from your IP address and is approximate (typically country level). We do not ask for, store, or use your device's precise location.

3. Payments

Coin purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's systems and are never seen or stored by CoinParty. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the package purchased. Stripe's own privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.

4. How we use your data

To operate your account, the games, and the voice rooms.
To keep your coin balance accurate and tamper-proof.
To detect fraud, chargeback abuse, bonus farming, and multiple accounts.
To moderate harassment, spam, and prohibited content.
To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

5. Who can see your data

Other users can see your public profile: display name, avatar, country flag, VIP tier, and anything you post in chat or rooms.
Our administrators can see account data including your email, IP address, device/browser, and game activity, for moderation and fraud review.
Service providers we rely on: Stripe (payments), Railway (hosting), and our email provider (password-reset delivery).
Authorities, only where we are legally required to disclose.

6. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Without it you would be logged out on every page. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists. Transaction records are kept longer where required for accounting and anti-fraud purposes. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal data, though anonymised transaction records may be retained where the law requires.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correct information that is wrong.
Delete your account and personal data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

9. Children

CoinParty is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

10. Security

Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt) and never in plain text. Traffic is served over HTTPS. Coin balances are derived from an append-only ledger so they cannot be altered from your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
